The best place for shopping and food is the popular Chaweng Beach, although there are other great spots scattered throughout the island. With regard to where to stay, the island is small, so you are never more than 45 minutes drive from Chaweng. If dining and shopping are your emphasis, then perhaps you should stay in Chaweng or in nearby Choeng Mon or Bang Rak. If you are looking for 5 star for a group I suggest Centara Grand Beach Resort. How many people? Do you mean 09? Weather will be a bit cooler (but not "cool") then with some chance of rain, but plenty of sunshine. more ...
